Team Building/Rope Courses
Event Planning Resources, Inc. is devoted to bringing out the best in individuals and groups. EPR has custom created team building, and leadership programs for groups of all sizes. EPR takes the time to fully understand your desired out come and design a program that meets your needs. Our programs specifically enhance team building, trust and communication within the group dynamic. Our programs are great for company picnics, school and religious groups or companies looking to strengthen core values.
Portable programs are designed to come to your location. These activities and be self facilitated or facilitated for a more "detailed approach". The group is taken through a series of activities were learning points are discussed and debriefed throughout the day.
Ropes Course and Team Building programs
The team building program we offer our clients is sequence of individual and group activities designed to foster team building, group cohesion, cooperation, leadership, problem-solving skills, communication skills, healthy risk-taking, and individual commitment. Our vendor, Project Ascent, uses both high and low ropes courses merely as a prop in order to bring about positive change. Our goal is to bring out the best within individuals and groups. Individuals are encouraged to take healthy risks; pushing both their physical as well as mental capabilities. Groups can be as large as 200 people and as small and intimate as 10 people. Ideally, groups are divided into smaller working groups of 8-15 people. A professional facilitator will help the group move through the various activities and debrief {process} each step with the group.
Sample program components
•Games are activities that serve as icebreakers - encouraging participants to relax, act silly, and remove some of the barriers that normally keep individuals from cooperating with one another. Games are the simplest form of team challenge.
•Initiatives are activities that require group members to identify a problem, make a plan for solving that problem, and initiate their plan. These challenges foster communication, commitment to the group and leader/follower roles among the group members.
•Low Elements require significant commitment and communication from members of the group. Many activities bring participants off of the ground, calling for spotters, and other safety considerations.
•High Elements are challenges that are set at a height (20 feet or more). Suggested High Elements include: Zip Line, Balance Beam, Cargo Net, Giant's Ladder, Burma Bridge, Multi-vine, and Two-line Traverse.
